Our History
Entrust America has been in business since 2005 and is based in Covington, Kentucky.
Entrust is a privately held corporation owned by members of our executive team, investors,
and dozens of police officers. Our proprietary, patent-pending privacy redaction process was
created by "Detective Mike" an undercover police officer (we protect his real name) who came
up with a system to provide protection from criminals tracking him down to take revenge on him
and his family. His system was, and continues to be highly successful, and is used by over
20,000 police officers nationwide, judges, prosecutors, professional athletes and some of the
most famous Hollywood celebrities who are all Entrust America members.
Although the original intent of creating the redaction process was to provide protection from
violent crime, Detective Mike and the other members of the Entrust America team realized that it
also provided excellent protection from the crime of identity theft by removing public access to
individuals' personal information. However, since identity theft is not 100% preventable, Entrust America
set about creating a system that trained and utilized off-duty police officers to recover members' identities
in the event that their personal information was stolen.
Our proprietary curriculum has been used to train thousands of police officers in police departments across
38 states. We are actively expanding our police based recovery task force, and expect to engage with departments
in all 50 states by the end of first quarter 2011. We are currently able to provide identity theft protection
and recovery to members in every state, but our expansion in our recovery unit will support our rapid growth.
